Originally known as Ledaig Distillery was established in 1797 by John Sinclair. In the 1930s the distillery stopped operating for 41 years before being reopened in 1993 by Burn Stewart Distillers (now part of Distell). After undertaking major refurbishment in 2017, the distillery reopened its doors and fired up the stills once more in 2019.
