Braeval
The Braeval Distillery, formerly known as the Braes of Glenlivet until 1995, is another relatively newly-built distillery (hailing from 1973). Built on the road to Chapeltown in the stunningly beautiful and remote Braes of Glenlivet, the young distillery was mothballed in 2002 for six years.
A light and slightly dry single malt, Braeval is extremely difficult to find as no official bottlings exist.
