Rare Whiskies Created By Unique Experience

For over 125 years and four generations of family ownership, Gordon & MacPhail has matched spirit from over 100 Scottish distilleries to its own bespoke casks. It is this unique depth and breadth of experience that enables us to combine oak, spirit and time to create a portfolio of iconic whiskies found nowhere else in the world.

We have a vast selection of whiskies available from different distilleries, specific cask finishes, ages and vintages, each made with the same care and attention using our 125 years of unrivalled knowledge.

We would be delighted to set up a consultation with you and we will recommend a selection of available whiskies closely suited to your individual preferences.

    Private Collection

Our ‘Private Collection’ features a truly exceptional and unique range of greatly aged single malts from a mixture of celebrated, little-known and now closed distilleries across Scotland.

Personally selected by members of the Urquhart family, owners of Gordon & MacPhail, each release is a unique and exquisite chapter in Scotland's whisky history.

    Private Cask

The foresight of our predecessors –to lay down exquisite whiskies for future generations –means that Gordon & MacPhail has a whisky library unmatched anywhere else.

And our rare and old stocks are now being made available to a very small number of private individuals; discerning whisky drinkers who share our respect for quality and provenance.

In partnership, we will work with you to bottle the outturn and personalise the packaging.

    Unique Releases

Each whisky we release is rare in that only a small number of bottles are available. From time to time, we create one-off showcases and commemorative whiskies that are even more scarce and undeniably special.

These releases have included the Private Collection Ultra Series – an incredible selection of the oldest and rarest whiskies in the world; Mr George Legacy Edition – celebrating the ‘father of single malt’; and the 125th anniversary editions – a collection of four whiskies either from a closed distillery or made on Lomond Stills no longer in production, that are from the last cask held in our famous warehouse in Elgin.

    Our Shop

Our spiritual home in Elgin was built in 1895 and to this day it continues to house a selection of the world’s most precious whiskies. We would be happy to welcome you into our home, by appointment, to meet with one of our whisky ambassadors who can help you select a whisky that is just right for you.

We also offer a vast array of whisky tastings – either in person or virtually – that can be tailored to your specific requirements.
