Nose
Intense stewed apples infuse with fragrant festive spices and dark chocolate. Aromas of roasted coffee beans come to the fore alongside subtle beeswax polish and mature oak.
Taste
Raspberry compote flavours give way to Seville orange zest and a hint of aniseed. Toasted hazelnuts develop accompanied by sweet demerara sugar and Morello cherry.
Finish
A full and long finish with citrus fruit and herbal influences.
Glen Grant Distillery
Built in 1840 by John and James Grant, this landmark distillery located at Rothes overlooks the majestic river Spey and is thought to be the only Scotch whisky distillery to be named after its owners. Glen Grant draws its water from the Caperdonich well, the same water source used by its sister distillery which was mothballed in 2002. Glen Grant whiskies are famed internationally for their smooth elegance, produced by the site’s unique stills that have an almost square section between the pot and neck and purifiers on the lyne arms. These uncommon additions combine to deliver a deliciously light, fruity and gentle character that mature wonderfully in both bourbon and Sherry casks.
