With its ‘modernist’ look, Allt A Bhainne is arguably Speyside’s most mysterious distillery, particularly from a liquid perspective. Like so many other great Speysiders, Allt A Bhainne Distillery, which is actually a fairly big player with a capacity to produce 4.5 million litres of spirit a year, draws its water from Ben Rinnes.

Although official bottlings are extremely scarce, a deliciously light, fruity spirit has emerged from within. Allt A Bhainne has developed a reputation as being one of the region’s gentler, surprising whiskies with its subtle, velvety notes of vanilla, orchard fruits, honey, and soft oak.
