For the malt whisky explorer, it promises a journey of discovery through different flavours, finishes, strengths and vintages.
Nose
Stewed fruit aromas accompany gentle smoke and a hint of red apple. Violet undertones develop alongside dark honey and subtle malted cereal.
Taste
Sweet and smooth; treacle toffee with notes of roasted walnut give way to subtle traces of cured meat. Mouth-coating flavours of black cherries develop into bursts of light pepper.
Finish
Violets and gentle smoke linger on the long finish.
