Created in 1968 by whisky visionary, George Urquhart, over the years this range has featured single malts from almost 100 Scottish distilleries. Comprising more than 2,000 individual bottlings, each Connoisseurs Choice tells its life story through its label: cask type, bottling date, strength, vintage and tasting note.
Nose
Sherry influences with sweet pear, Leading to light fruitcake and hazelnut aromas. Undertones of treacle toffee form alongside rich dark chocolate with a hint of lemon zest.
Taste
Sweet; red berry flavours complement creamy toffee with a gentle hint of white pepper. Citrus zest notes perservere throughout alongside hazelnut and roasted coffee beans.
Finish
Long and smooth with a sweet citrus edge.
