Created in 1968 by whisky visionary, George Urquhart, over the years this range has featured single malts from almost 100 Scottish distilleries. Comprising more than 2,000 individual bottlings, each Connoisseurs Choice tells its life story through its label: cask type, bottling date, strength, vintage and tasting note.
Nose
Delicate vanilla complements savoury smoked cured ham aromas; strawberry and cream highlights add a depth of sweetness. warm spice stewed apple notes linger over the subtle oak undertone.
Taste
Mouth-warming; initial cracked black pepper softens and reveals notes of baked apple with hints of clove. Aniseed flavours develop, balanced by candied citrus peel.
Finish
Bonfire ash and salty notes linger on the finish.
