Gordon & MacPhail has been at the heart of the community in Elgin, Morayshire, since 1895. The flagship premises on South Street is currently undergoing an exciting upgrade to create a unique whisky experience where guests will be able to sample the world’s rarest single malts. As this work is undertaken, you can find us at Gordon & MacPhail at the Courtyard, located on the Johnstons of Elgin site.

Since 1895 Gordon & MacPhail has fine-tuned its knowledge by matching spirit from over 100 Scottish distilleries to casks made to our exact specifications. This understanding has been refined and handed down over four generations. It has enabled Gordon & MacPhail to mature some of the world’s finest and rarest single malt Scotch whiskies in the world. In the Single Cask Selection tasting, visitors discover some of the secrets in the art of whisky maturation while enjoying five beautifully complex drams from unique single cask bottlings.

How to find us

Inverness is just under 40 miles to our West and can be driven in just under 1 hour via the A96 Eastbound, while Aberdeen is a bit further at almost 70 miles in the opposite direction, which can also be driven via the A96 Westbound in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Elgin train station is a 30 minute walk from our shop and Elgin bus station is a 25 minute walk. There are bicycle racks located on our premises.
