LOST WORKS OF ART – REDISCOVERED

this year we have partnered with acclaimed french illustrator, tom haugomat, to revive the character of the closed distilleries featured in our annual recollection series.
paris-based haugomat has designed the artwork to evoke memories of three distilleries that feature in the series – port ellen which is due to reopen later this year, banff in aberdeenshire and glen mhor which operated next to the caledonian canal in inverness. all three distilleries fell silent in 1983.
“working with gordon & macphail on this commission has been a truly inspiring experience. i thoroughly enjoyed the process of reinterpreting vintage distillery photographs and researching colour palettes that reflect the intricate and diverse flavours of the whisky. it has been a privilege to work with such a prestigious and respected brand.”

the single malts which have been brought to life by haugomat are just three of 18 whiskies from this year`s recollection series.
