Created in 1968 by whisky visionary, George Urquhart, over the years this range has featured single malts from almost 100 Scottish distilleries. Comprising more than 2,000 individual bottlings, each Connoisseurs Choice tells its life story through its label: cask type, bottling date, strength, vintage and tasting note.
Nose
STEWED PEAR and APPLE aromas are complemented by BAKED CRUMBLE TOPPING. Rich FRUITCAKE notes develop and give way to AUTUMNAL SPICE with traces of fresh GINGER.
Taste
Mouth-warming BLACK PEPPER initially, leading to flavours of DARK CHOCOLATE and FOREST FRUITS. BROWN SUGAR comes to the fore alongside SULTANAS with a hint of ORANGE.
Finish
A medium-bodied finish, with gentle ALMOND and subtle TOBACCO.
