Glentauchers Distillery - New Technology

Allied have developed and modified the cleaning system which is used for their wash stills, yeast tanks, wort lines and various other tanks. By the simple press of a button the spray system cleans all the heating elements and removes burnt on yeast residues.

The system, called CIP - Cleaning in Place, provides safe methods of cleaning. Glentauchers have also installed a similar shaped deflector plate above each heater, allowing the single spray nozzle to wet clean both inner and outer surfaces of the heater at the same time. The modified system, which is quite advanced and proving successful, is being piloted at Glentauchers.
