Glenrothes

Dufftown is often referred to as the town of seven stills and seven hills and Rothes runs a close second. Situated within the picturesque Spey valley, this small village is home to five distilleries all tucked along the tiny main street - unbeknown to passing visitors

Amongst the five distilleries is Glenrothes, hidden in a small glen on the outskirts of the village.

Approaching the distillery your eyes are automatically drawn to the right where the village graveyard (pictured right) stretches up the hill. The grave stones cower under the shadows of tall trees surrounded by distillery buildings.
