Whisky Guide Distillery Profiles Glenrothes Distillery

Glenrothes - view from high

From the top of the hill looking over to Ben Aigen the whole village of Rothes lies before you. It is from here you can see Glenrothes distillery, set in the foreground of the Rothes Parish church.

Next are Caperdonich and Glen Grant distillery both set off from the roundabout

Glen Grant Distillery, part of the Malt Whisky Trail, is a very busy tourist location not only as a popular distillery but also for the well-known Victorian Gardens originally created by Major Grant.

Glen Spey is set in amongst the villagers' homes and is a contributor to the famous J&B Brand.

Glenrothes Distillery spans a large area in the glen. You can see the pagoda roof set in the heart of the site, and the row upon row of cask warehouses.

Travelling towards Glenrothes you pass Glen Spey, which is located on the other side of the burn - hidden by the trees to the right.
