Connoisseurs Choice Ardbeg 1996 40% - Yellow straw is colour this powerful whisky is full of smoke, spices and a distinct salty edge. The nose reveals sweet phenols with an oily note-germolene. Hints of ozone and smoked kippers are present. The palette is smoky, ashy with a rounding sweetness. Some birch-wood and mossy flavours. A strong carbolic note develops.

Deep reddy brown in colour the nose of this single malt uncovers Rich, mulled fruits with traces of fresh fruits - apple pulp and ripe bananas. On the palette there is sweet, sherrywood flavours with a spicy, earthy note.
